Insect Warfare is coming!
No - not the band, dammit. But my T-Shirt and CD should be here any day now. I can't fucking wait. Every day I come home and ask my wife "Did they come yet?!?!?!?!" and she looks at me and asks "Waht are you? fucking 12 years old?" and I accuse her of pedophilia and she laughs and says "Hah! We stopped having sex a long time ago" so I'm, like just really jacked up about getting my Insect Warfare shit soon. Because they are fucking great.
Also recently discovered Beneath The Massacre Obscura, Vile, and No Souls Lost. Great bands all.
And hopefully Insect Warfare will tour my little slice of paradise soon.
Labels: beneath the massacre, death, insect warfare, metal, no souls lost, obscura, technical death, vile

Journey!?
I didn't like them when I was younger because they weren't the cool band to like. They were a chick band. I think I'm over that now.
I apologize to you, Journey. I just didn't get it then. I was young. I was stupid (well, I'm still stupid but less so than then). You guys have an amazing back catalog of songs that (I am starting to realize) just kick ass. (Yeah, right - like Journey is reading my stupid blog)
I haven't heard the new album yet but I think I will soon. Plus a show at House Of Blues in February. I am gonna try to see that. I hear good reviews for the new singer and I am willing to give him a chance - that's where I might have an edge over long time fans - they are probably still in love with Steve Perry and are torn between new Journey stuff and old. I understand that - I wouldn't want anyone but Robert Plant doing Led Zep. But then I heard Jimmy Page with the Black Crowes and the world didn't stop. In fact, it was pretty fucking good. That Robinson boy did just fine.
But I digress. All I'm saying is give the new guy a chance. I wish I had had the balls back then to say "Fuck you" to my friends because I could have been enjoying Journey all this time. Oh well. Time to catch up.
Geek out.
