Fighting Foo...

...so you don't have to.

If you've never heard the Foo Fighters cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" then you are just plain missing out on one of life's beautiful pleasures. Go buy it. Or Download it. Or steal it from a friend's CD - (though if you have a friend and he hasn't turned you on to that song yet I really have to question the quality of his or her friendship.) - But the point here is: Do whatever it takes to give this song a listen. Them Foo Fighters kick the ass out of this song. It singlehandedly made me a Foo Fighter fan where I hadn't been one before.

And I apologize to Foo Fighters and Foo Fighter fans everywhere for summarily dismissing them out of hand before simply because I figured they were just a derivative grunge band hand-me-down. Not because I had heard their songs and didn't like them - it was just because I never liked grunge and I figured that's where they came from so that must be what they are. Which is the very kind of narrow-minded Republican thinking that I rant and rail against on almost a daily basis. It's good to be kicked in the ass sometimes . Thanks Foo Fighters - I needed that.

And Big ups to my Lizzle for allowing me to hear the Foo Fizzle. They are the sizzle for shizzle.
