Photos....

...are still the same pictures - but I redid the gallery so the pictures were a little bigger...(the thumbs are still small but the pix are bigger)...and I got rid of all the gallery creator guy's stuff - except where appropriate. He did create the program and deserves credit for that. But I still would have liked to be able to preview _before_ publishing to the web. It didn't crash on me this time, either. Maybe that was my bad the first time. And the second time. 3rd time was a charm.

All in all, OG is a little bit happier now than he was before. And a happy OG is a less irritating OG...to the people that have to put up with him in daily life, anyway.

I tried...

...to get rid of all the links to the gallery creator for my pix. But the damn thing created about a hundred and fifty freakin' html pages to display each photo and I'm just not nearly dedicated enough to go hand edit every single one of 'em. I hit the main index pages. That's good enough.

Now I gotta go because I got "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" for XBOX for Father's Day and my daughter wants to watch me play. She's cool like dat.

Oh yeah - no question we're in Georgia now.

More OG in Savannah pictures

As promised, go HERE to see more of my vacation pictures. A lot of them I screwed around with. Some I'm still screwing around with. I don't think I like the Gallery creator program I used...I just snatched it off a Google search for free Web Gallery creators. It was free, though. But I was in a hurry, so I didn't notice it was throwing links to the program creator all over the place before I FTP'd it. Also, I had to install .NET framework just to run it. It crashed on me twice too. But the pictures are up. Just don't go thinking that I didn't take the pix. They are all me.

Teva: Product Details

Original Geek proudly recommends
Teva sandals for all your vacationing and/or relaxing weekend about the town footwear needs. This was the first pair of sandals I've ever owned and I had to take a moment of quiet reflection to get over the sadness of not having discovered sandals before now. After walking all over Savannah in these sandals I am convinced that they are the greatest shoe ever. I got mine at Dillards but I reckon y'all can get yours anywhere. I like Dillards because the sales guys there actually make me feel like they give a crap if I'm happy with my shoes. They might _not_ give a crap but they make me feel like they do and that's what really counts.

Wormsloe...I love that name.

More riverfront - antique shops? Or are they shops that are antiques?

More Savannah stairs - these are near the riverfront...

Look out! It's coming right for us!

It's good to be home.....

I love visiting Savannah. The family of OG had a great time. I got to revisit the hoe-cakes at Lady & Sons restaurant and we found a new great restaurant called Sweet Potatoes. I had beer-batter fried chicken breast in a raspberry coulee the first night. It was so good, we went back the next night and I had Pork Tenderloin slices with a peach BBQ sauce that has me drooling and thinking about next year when we get to go back...on the other hand, it's only a 5 hour drive to Savannah from here...I bet I could make it for dinner next Saturday....MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmDAMN, that was some Good Eats. The meatloaf I snitched from the wife's plate was pretty effing good too.

OG doesn't know how to take normal vacation snapshots - but here a few pictures. As soon as I cull through all the photos and make a gallery, I'll post a link here so family and friends can take a look. Probably. There is that OG hideously lazy thing I have to contend with.....And I will include the original, pre-screwing with snaps for you photo purists. But I reserve the right to crop.

I just really dug this old shack out in the woods at the Oatland Island animal preserve.

Moew Fort Pulaski....

These are just some places in Savannah I thought were cool. I screwed around with the pictures a little bit.

Here's another look at Fort Pulaski in Savannah

PS - Ya'll try not to eat too much at Flavors of India - a new Indian cuisine buffet we found on Kirkman @I-Drive. (Good call finding that one, M.E.) I know it will be hard not to eat too much because that was some damn fine Indian food. Spicy Spicy. Be sure to take a side trip to Hotassatonia.

Y'all have fun while I'm gone. I know I'll miss one or maybe 2 of you fuckers.

What I mean is...

That I need to get a few things off my chest.
So here they are:
1. I love the Sopranos and I always will. They haven't jumped the shark and they are still as good today as they were the very first episode and you are a fucking retard if you think they aren't. I thoroughly enjoyed the latest season and I will anxiously await the final season and I'll be sad when it's over.

2. It toally and completely SUCKS that Angel and Buffy are no longer in production.
2(a). Blue Fred (Ilyria) is one of the top 3 smokingly hottest females on the planet.

3. Aquateen Hunger Force and the Brak Show rock.

4. Deadwood is my favorite new show. I love every single character but Al Swearingen may be one of the greatest characters in TV history. Maybe in the history of fictional characters, period. And I loved it when Jeri Jewell told Al she was knocked up. I remember when she was the comdienne on "Facts of Life". Kudos to the Deadwood producers for putting her in the show.

5. My favorite Tex-Mex place just closed their location that was close to my house. Now I will have to drive for many extra miles to get the finest Chimichangas in the US.
And I will be happy to do it. Amigo's Original Tex-Mex is that good. A bargain at 3 times the distance.

6. Led Zeppelin is and always will be my very favorite band. But that doesn't mean I can't get down with some other great fuckin' bands. I might list them, I might not. You don't really care who I like but that may not stop me from foisting my opinion upon ya.

7. That's it for now....

Love,
OG

PS - Vote. I would prefer you voted Democrat, but I'd rather you vote Republican than not vote at all. Cocksuckers. ;-)

MMMMMmmmmmmmmblog

Hmmm. I think this might be too much for me to keep up with since I am notoriously lazy.

But I'll try.

Deadwood rules!
